Databases

Databases in Scriptor are pages that contain a structured table. Use them for tasks, inventories, CRM-style lists, or any data that benefits from properties and filters.

Create a database

  1. Create a new page or open an existing one.
  2. From the empty page starter, choose a database template or convert the page into a database.
  3. Name the database — the title at the top becomes the table name in your sidebar.

Properties and rows

Each column in a database is a property. Property types include text, numbers, dates, select and multi-select tags, checkboxes, and more.

Each row is also a page. Open a row to add long-form notes, files, or blocks beneath its property header — the best of tables and docs in one place.

Views

Switch between table, list, and gallery views depending on how you want to scan the data. Filter and sort columns to focus on the rows that matter right now.

Import and export

Import CSV files to populate a database quickly. Workspace admins can control whether export is available from workspace security settings.

Sharing databases

Share a database page the same way you share any other page. Row pages inherit access from the parent database unless you adjust permissions separately. See Sharing & permissions for details.
